Originally from Tallaght, I graduated from the School of Architecture, DIT Bolton Street in 2004. I gained my professional qualification (MRIAI) in 2007. When the recession hit in 2009/2010 I lost my job in architecture and spent some time travelling, and later fund-raising for Haiti (following the earthquake of 2011). I travelled to Haiti for “Build it Week” in November of 2011.

In 2012 I made the decision to change lane and move into the digital world. I completed a Post Grad Diploma in Digital Production, specialising in Graphics and User Centred Design. At the end of year showcase I was hired by Greenfinch Technology. I worked there as a UX designer for 2 years, working on a range of projects including e-commerce sites, marketing sites and equipment maintenance software.

In 2015 I moved to the UX agency xwerx. During my time there I worked primarily on apps for a well known Financial Services provider.

In 2016 I had my first child. While on maternity leave I was contacted by a former colleague from Greenfinch who asked me to join him on his new venture at Kubicle, an e-learning platform. I started with Kubicle in January 2017 and worked there until November 2019. I left to have my second child.

While on maternity leave I was contacted by the CEO of Toothpic. I was recommended to him by the CEO of Kubicle. I started with Toothpic in April 2020. Toothpic was acquired by quip in 2022. I remained at quip Ireland until it’s closure in Q1 of 2024.

Outside of work, I try to split my spare time between my kids and my other love - screen printing! Inspired by traditional architectural drawings (elevations and plans), I create stencils and make prints in a small corner of my kitchen whenever I get the chance.
